ZEC ETF Surpasses Half Billion Dollars as Bitcoin Fails to Break $80,000
Bitcoin briefly touched $77,600 on Tuesday before rebounding to $78,900, $79,100 in Asian early trading. The cryptocurrency ended the day nearly flat with a small weekly gain.
Ethereum fluctuated between $2,490 and $2,510 during this time period. However, the real story came from Zcash: Grayscale's ZEC spot ETF (ZCSH) surpassed $500 million in assets within two weeks of listing, holding more than 550,000 tokens, about 3% of the circulating supply.
ZEC rebounded from an intraday low near $1,120 to $1,230, $1,240 with a 24-hour trading volume around $1 billion. Its market cap returned to the top ten.
