ZeroStack's Staggering Crypto Loss Leaves Survival Hinging on Token Rewards
ZeroStack's fortunes have taken a drastic turn after its $163.33 million stash of AI-focused token, 0G, collapsed to just $15.17 million by June 30. The company's financial report for the first half of this year reveals a staggering loss of $61.3 million and an accumulated deficit of $339.1 million.
The digital-asset treasury is comprised mainly of 75.1 million 0G tokens, which ZeroStack hopes to monetize through staking rewards. The company expects to fund operations primarily by selling these rewards, but management has expressed uncertainty about the sustainability of this plan.
ZeroStack's reliance on staking rewards raises concerns about liquidity and market volatility. The company may sell some underlying token holdings if needed, but this would not establish immediate cash availability.
