Zhao Disputes Forbes' $110 Billion Net Worth Estimate
Binance founder Changpeng Zhao has pushed back against Forbes' estimate that placed his net worth at $110 billion, ranking him 17th on the annual World's Billionaires list above Bill Gates. The estimate is based on a valuation of Binance itself at roughly $100 billion.
Zhao owns about 90% of the exchange, which holds approximately 38% of global crypto trading market share. Forbes acknowledged that some of Zhao's assets, including an estimated 1,400 BTC stash and BNB holdings, have dropped around 25% over the past year.
In a series of posts on X, Zhao dismissed the estimate as 'definitely not accurate' and noted that crypto prices are down over 50% from their 2025 peaks. He compared his situation with ByteDance founder Zhang Yiming, whose company generates an estimated $150 billion in annual revenue against Forbes' $69 billion net worth valuation.
