Zhao's Advice for Young Investors: Focus on Deliberate Learning
Binance founder Changpeng Zhao recently shared his advice for young people looking to make informed decisions about their finances and investments. Speaking at the Binance Clubhouse 2026 community in Bali, he emphasized the importance of dedicating time to learning and critical thinking.
Zhao recommended setting aside 30-60 minutes each day for deliberate learning, rather than mindlessly scrolling through screens or following generic advice. He suggested that this time be used to engage with various channels, including video platforms, public information streams, and continuously questioning artificial intelligence.
When asked what specific advice he would ignore at the age of 25, Zhao stated that he would disregard detailed instructions such as 'buy this, sell that, do this project' because everyone's situation is different. Instead, he encouraged young people to focus on developing a deeper understanding of the market and its underlying mechanics.
Zhao also emphasized the importance of reading non-fiction and self-improvement books, stating that even inexpensive books can provide more valuable insights than fragmented information. He cautioned that daily fixed learning may not change life overnight but will gradually improve decision-making quality by altering one's way of thinking and depth of problem analysis.
