Zidane's French National Team Appointment Highlights Fan Token Gap

Zinedine Zidane has been named as the next head coach of the French national team, replacing Didier Deschamps. Zidane's tenure begins on September 1, 2026, after the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup.

During his two stints at Real Madrid, Zidane won three consecutive Champions League titles from 2016 to 2018 and again from 2019 to 2021. He has no prior experience managing a senior national team, but agreed to the role in March 2026, giving both sides time to plan the transition.

The French Football Federation (FFF) does not have an official fan token, despite several clubs within its borders embracing digital assets.
