Zondacrypto CEO Cooperates with Prosecutors in €560 Million Crypto Fraud Case

The former CEO of Zondacrypto, Przemysław Kral, is cooperating with prosecutors in Poland's largest crypto fraud case. He faces charges of large-scale fraud and is working under the Article 60 sentencing mechanism to provide information about co-conspirators in exchange for reduced penalties.

The case involves a $650 million hole in customer losses, which initially estimated at around $80 million to $97 million have now swelled to approximately €560 million. Over 3,600 complaints have been filed with prosecutors, and the victim count stretches into the tens of thousands.

Kral's decision to cooperate adds a new dimension to the investigation. The Article 60 mechanism in Polish law allows courts to impose sentences below the statutory minimum when a defendant provides substantial evidence against others involved in the crime.
