Zondacrypto Collapse Leaves Customers in the Dark Amid Regulatory Crisis
Zondacrypto's collapse has turned into a regulatory and criminal crisis after its website went dark in April 2026, leaving thousands of customers unable to withdraw their assets.
The exchange's troubles began with withdrawal delays and frozen customer balances on April 23. Polish prosecutors estimate losses above 350 million zlotys, while thousands of customers are still unable to access their funds.
Founder Sylwester Suszek has been missing since March 2022, but his successor Przemysław Kral was reportedly spotted outside Poland, including in Israel. However, neither his disappearance nor Kral's location have been confirmed by authorities or independently verified by journalists.
