Zoth Unveils Multi-Billion Dollar Cross-Border Stablecoin Payout Ambitions
Zoth, a Dubai-headquartered stablecoin neobank, has expanded its zPayments platform to Base, Coinbase's Layer 2 network. This move enables businesses to send instant and compliant stablecoin payouts in local currencies across 171 countries.
The primary stablecoin used is USDC, which is converted to local currencies through licensed partners on the ground. Zoth claims its payouts settle within minutes at costs up to 80% lower than traditional money transfer services, which typically charge between 3% and 6% per transaction and take several business days to settle.
Initially, the platform's geographic coverage leaned heavily into the Middle East, with the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman as anchor markets. Southeast Asia represented another major corridor, alongside USD-denominated networks spanning North America, the UK, Europe, and Australia.
