A new $20 Canadian bank note is set to enter circulation in late February 2027. The Bank of Canada designed this vertical polymer note, which features a portrait of King Charles III and the Canadian National Vimy Memorial on its reverse side.

The security features on this note are advanced and dynamic, integrated into the design. Canadians can check their bank notes using four steps: feel, look, tilt, and flip. The note includes raised ink on the portrait, large denomination number, and word 'CANADA.'

A purple security stripe runs through the note, containing several dynamic elements that change when the bill is tilted. Botanical elements throughout the design reflect King Charles III's advocacy for sustainable action and his commitment to the environment.
