26 Degrees Rolls Out Japanese Share CFDs Amid Market Volatility
26 Degrees has launched Japanese share CFDs for its broker clients. The company can access these products through its existing API, allowing them to add Japanese shares alongside index CFDs and 17 yen currency pairs without integrating another provider.
The announcement comes after sharp swings across Japanese markets. The Nikkei 225 fell as much as 15.1% from its June high to its July low, while authorities intervened to support the yen after it touched a 40-year low against the dollar.
Hiroaki Nagakura, head of Prime Services at 26 Degrees in Japan, said: 'For brokers, that means having the product breadth to respond.'
The company has engaged with the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) to redistribute derived equity data, allowing downstream brokers to price Japanese share CFDs through an API without receiving the underlying exchange feed directly from TSE.
