AED Pushes Trump and Carney for U.S.-Canada Trade Stability
The Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) has written letters to President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, urging them to reduce trade barriers between the two countries. The AED represents businesses serving agriculture and construction markets, generating over $100 billion in annual revenue and employing over 140,000 people.
The association argues that the ongoing tariff dispute could have severe consequences for farmers, contractors, equipment dealers, and other businesses that depend on machinery and parts moving efficiently between the U.S. and Canada.
AED President and CEO Brian P. McGuire wrote in a letter to Trump and Carney, 'Free and fair trade between Canada and the U.S. is critical to the economic prospects of the entire economy, our industry, our dealers, and our customers.'
