Africa Finance Corp Breaks New Ground with CHF350m Digital Bond
Africa Finance Corporation has made history by issuing a CHF350 million Digital Bond, marking the first time an African institution has listed, traded, and settled a digital bond on a regulated exchange.
The five-year bond was priced at 1.4925%, according to Commerzbank AG, which acted as technical lead on the transaction. The issuance is also the largest digital bond ever issued in the Swiss Franc market, demonstrating Africa Finance Corporation's leading role in international capital markets.
Samaila Zubairu, President and CEO of Africa Finance Corporation, stated that this transaction 'marks another significant milestone in AFC's funding journey' and underscores global investors' confidence in the company's strategy, credit strength, and development impact.
