AI Stocks Hold Steady Amid Market Uncertainty Ahead of Fed Rate Decision
The Federal Reserve's upcoming decision on interest rates is causing market uncertainty, leading to a decline in Wall Street. Artificial-intelligence stocks are holding steady despite their recent worldwide slide. The S&P 500 slipped 0.2%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 289 points or 0.6%. Worries about high inflation and the massive U.S. government debt level have sent bond yields to levels unseen in years. The yield on the 10-year Treasury rose to 5.00% from 4.97%, and oil prices swung due to jumping crude prices, with Brent crude rising 0.7% to $106.42.
