Air Canada Deploys A321XLR on Montréal-Lyon Route
Air Canada has launched a new route from Montréal, Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to Lyon using the Airbus A321XLR aircraft. The airline chose this aircraft for the shoulder season, where demand does not justify widebody coverage.
The A321XLR will operate on the route five times a week from September 7 to October 22, and again in spring. During these periods, passengers can expect flights with an average of 182 seats: 14 business-class lie-flat pods and 168 economy seats.
This move marks a change from using the Airbus A330 on this route. The A321XLR offers improved fuel efficiency and lower operating costs for Air Canada.
