Air Canada Introduces Cheaper Premium Fares with Strings Attached
Air Canada has introduced two new fare classes for premium travel: Premium Economy Basic and Business Class Basic. These options offer lower fares than the standard premium cabins, but with some trade-offs.
The new fare classes are available on select routes in the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, South America, and transatlantic markets. However, customers departing from Vancouver International Airport will not have access to these fares for domestic and transborder travel.
While the Premium Economy Basic and Business Class Basic fares offer a lower price point, they also come with reduced flexibility. Customers who book these fares will pay more for changes or cancellations than those who opt for higher-tier premium cabins.
