Air Canada Introduces Non-Refundable Premium Economy and Business Class Fares
Air Canada has introduced two new fare options for Premium Economy and Business Class travel. The new fares, called Premium Economy Basic and Business Class Basic, are available starting July 28. These fares offer a core premium experience, including a premium cabin seat, complimentary meal service, priority boarding, and priority baggage handling.
The key difference between these new fares and the existing ones is that they are non-refundable. Passengers can make changes to their bookings for a fee, but advance seat selection will incur an extra charge. Additionally, the number of free checked bags has been reduced from two to one for Premium Economy Basic passengers.
Business Class Basic passengers will still have access to Air Canada's Maple Leaf Lounges, but Signature Suite access is not included. The new fares are available on routes to the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, South America, and Air Canada's transatlantic joint venture markets, excluding Iran, Israel, and the UAE.
