Air Canada Rolls Out Basic Business Class Fare With Restrictions

Air Canada has introduced new basic business and premium economy fares as part of its efforts to cater to growing demand for premium travel. The carrier will introduce two new fare categories, Premium Economy Basic and Business Classic Basic, which offer all the benefits of traveling in a premium cabin but with some restrictions.

The new fares will be available on flights within the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, and South America, as well as on transatlantic travel. Passengers booking these fares will still earn Aeroplan points and status credits, but they will not have access to lounge facilities or eUpgrades. However, those in Business Class Basic will be able to use Air Canada's lounge network with some exceptions.

Air Canada is following a trend set by other major carriers, which are also introducing more affordable premium travel options. The new fares provide an alternative for passengers who want to experience the benefits of business or premium economy class without breaking the bank.
