Air Canada is expanding its premium cabin options for passengers by introducing new Basic fares in Premium Economy and Business Class. The move aims to meet growing demand for premium leisure travel, with Air Canada noting that it aligns with similar offerings from its airline partners.

The new Premium Economy Basic and Business Class Basic fares include perks such as a complimentary checked bag, carry-on allowance, priority boarding, priority baggage, and onboard meals. However, both fare options are nonrefundable, and travellers will have to pay a fee if they want to make any changes. Advance seat selection is also available for an additional charge.

Passengers booking Premium Economy Basic will not receive lounge access, while Business Class Basic travellers will be able to use Maple Leaf Lounges, but not Air Canada's Signature Suites. The new fares are now available on select routes, including Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, South America, and transatlantic Joint Venture markets.
