Air Canada Unveils New Basic Fare Options for Premium Economy and Business Class
Air Canada has introduced two new fare categories for its premium economy and business class cabins. The Premium Economy Basic and Business Class Basic fares offer lower-priced access to Air Canada's premium cabins while retaining many of the benefits associated with higher-tier fares.
The new fares are available on eligible routes throughout the Caribbean, Mexico, Latin America, South America, and transatlantic joint-venture markets. However, they are not available for travel to Iran, Israel, or the United Arab Emirates.
Passengers booking Premium Economy Basic will not receive lounge access, while those traveling on Business Class Basic can still access Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges but entry to the airline's Signature Suites is not included.
The new fares are priced below Air Canada's existing premium options and offer several premium travel benefits. Both fare types include one complimentary checked bag and a carry-on bag, as well as priority boarding and priority baggage handling.
