Air India Expands Toronto Service for Winter Season
Air India has expanded its service to Canada for the winter season by launching new flights between Mumbai and Toronto. The airline will operate three times a week on this route from October 25, 2026, to March 26, 2027, using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with upgraded cabin interiors.
The B777-300ER aircraft feature eight luxurious First Class suites, 40 flat beds in Business Class, and 280 seats in Economy. Travelers on this route will also have access to WiFi internet connectivity onboard the upgraded aircraft.
Air India operates a total of 10 weekly flights between Delhi and Toronto during the winter season, with seven of these services being operated by Boeing 787-9 aircraft featuring the airline's latest cabin products. The remaining three weekly services will be initially operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft before transitioning to the new Boeing 787-9 from January 2027.
The deployment of new and upgraded aircraft on this route enables Air India to boost premium seat capacity to Toronto by 71% this winter, offering more First Class, Business Class, and Premium Economy options to travelers. According to Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer at Air India, 'Canada is one of Air India's most important international markets, with deep people-to-people connections driving strong travel demand, particularly during the festive and holiday season.'
Air India's hubs in Mumbai and Delhi allow customers traveling to or from Canada to connect seamlessly to various Indian cities, including Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ludhiana, and Vadodara.
