Air New Zealand Bets Big on Sleep
Air New Zealand's CEO Nikhil Ravishankar is focused on making long-haul travel more comfortable and restful. He believes that sleep can become a strong competitive advantage for the airline.
Ravishankar emphasizes the importance of getting the basics right, including safety, reliability, punctuality, and customer experience. With 95% of their jet fleet back in service, Air New Zealand has a stronger platform to rebuild resilience and make targeted growth decisions.
The airline is launching new direct services from Christchurch to Singapore, Perth, and Tokyo, which will be flown by retrofitted 787s with improved cabin environments. This includes pairing the 787's humidity levels with Air New Zealand's new Business Premier, Premium Economy, and refreshed Economy products.
