Albanian Exchange Rates Plummet Amid Global Economic Uncertainty

Albania's foreign exchange rates have continued to plummet over the past week. According to data from August 12, one US dollar is bought for 79.9 lek and sold for 81 lek. The euro is also experiencing a decline, with one euro being bought at 92.4 lek and sold at 93.3 lek.

The British pound has dropped to 107.8 lek when bought and 109 lek when sold. Meanwhile, the Swiss franc has fallen to 98.3 lek for purchase and 99.8 lek for sale. The Canadian dollar is exchanged at 57 lek for purchase and 58.1 lek for sale.

The Bank of Albania Governor, Gent Sejko, reported on rising inflation and its impact from oil prices in foreign markets.
