ANA Cuts Fuel Surcharges Amid Falling Aviation Prices

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has announced that it will reduce its fuel surcharges for flights from Japan to North America and Europe by 10,000 yen. The new surcharge will be set at 55,000 yen for tickets issued in September and October.

The decision comes as aviation fuel prices have decreased following a sharp increase due to turmoil in the Middle East. ANA's fuel surcharges are calculated based on market prices and foreign exchange rates over the previous two months.

The reduction in surcharges is partly due to government subsidies, which will lower the average market price for fuel. This move is expected to be followed by Japan Airlines, with similar reductions in their fuel surcharges.
