ANZ Programme Showcases Growing NZ-India Economic Links
Indian journalist Nimitt Dixit embarked on an ANZ-hosted programme to explore New Zealand's economy, visiting various regions and meeting key business leaders.
The trip took him through Rotorua, Wairarapa, Wellington, and Auckland, offering a closer look at the industries driving New Zealand's export economy. In Rotorua, Dixit witnessed firsthand the growth of the Indian visitor market, which has seen 83,000 Indian arrivals in the past year.
The programme aimed to showcase New Zealand's economic strengths and highlight growing connections between the two countries. A landmark Free Trade Agreement was signed in April 2026, providing duty-free access for Indian exports to New Zealand and improving market access for New Zealand exporters into India.
