Apple's Canadian Pricing Strategy Revealed in Latest iPhone Lineup
Apple's Canadian price lineup for the latest iPhone models has been scrutinized for its pricing strategy. A closer look at the prices reveals that every single one of them is set just above a round number, which may seem like deliberate rounding to customers.
The starting price of the iPhone 18 Pro is $1,749 in Canada, which is C$249 more than the nearest round figure of C$1,500. The same pattern holds true for other models, including the Apple Watch Ultra 4, which starts at C$1,099, just above the C$1,000 mark.
One notable exception to this pricing strategy is the iPhone Duo, which starts at C$2,999, one Canadian dollar short of C$3,000. This pricing choice has been interpreted as Apple setting a price that is deliberately rounded down from C$3,000.
