Argentina's Merval Index Rises, Peso Weakens Amid Market Volatility
The Merval index in Buenos Aires saw a 0.53% rise to 3,024,971.01 points on Wednesday, extending its gains for a third consecutive session.
However, this growth was accompanied by the Argentine peso weakening by 0.2% in the wholesale market to 1,514 per US dollar, marking the fourth day of strengthening against the peso.
The retail dollar selling rate at Banco Nación stood at 1,530 pesos, while the 'blue' dollar traded near 1,560 pesos on the unofficial market.
