Asia Markets Flat Amid Sanctions Uncertainty and Nvidia Earnings
Asian markets remained flat on Monday as investors waited for details on US sanctions against Iran and earnings reports from Nvidia. Oil prices also eased, down 1% to $93.43 a barrel, following gains of 6.6% last week.
The tech sector is closely watching Nvidia's results, expected to be released on Wednesday, with analysts forecasting quarterly revenue of nearly $92 billion and full-year guidance between $103 and $105 billion.
Meanwhile, the Canadian dollar dipped after Canada announced tariffs in retaliation to US measures, raising concerns over a trade war. The dollar was also on the defensive elsewhere, down 0.8% against a basket of currencies last week.
