Asian markets were subdued on Monday as investors awaited details of U.S. sanctions on Iran due later in the session.

The tech sector is under scrutiny, particularly Nvidia's results on Wednesday, where analysts expect quarterly revenue to almost double to $92 billion, with full-year earnings guidance seen in a range of $103 billion to $105 billion.

Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh is set to speak at Jackson Hole, Wyoming, on Friday, but his well-known aversion to forward guidance could lead to disappointment, according to Bruce Kasman, chief economist at JPMorgan.

The odds of a Fed rate hike are around 40% and fully priced for a move by December. U.S. inflation figures this week may change the odds, with median forecasts expecting core inflation to hold at 3.3% in July.
