Asia's Markets Take a Hit Amid Improved US Inflation Data

Asian markets took a hit on Friday, mirroring modest movements in U.S. futures following improved inflation data for July.

The Nikkei 225 index in Tokyo rose 0.3% to close at 68,533.85, while South Korea's Kospi jumped 1.3% to finish at 6,924.74.

However, the Hong Kong market experienced a setback with the Hang Seng index dropping 1% to 25,137.87, and the Shanghai Composite index declined by 0.5%, settling at 3,908.05.

Oil markets remained stable despite recent fluctuations, with Brent crude experiencing a 2.1% decline to $87.06 per barrel in early Friday trading.
