Auckland Unveils Plan to Boost Cruise Industry
Auckland has launched the Auckland Cruise Plan 2026-2036, a 10-year roadmap to strengthen its position as New Zealand's leading cruise hub.
The plan aims to grow high-value cruise visitation through coordinated investment, stronger partnerships, and an enhanced visitor experience.
Tataki Auckland Unlimited, the region's cultural, events, and destination agency, developed the plan with Port of Auckland and industry partners.
Mayor Wayne Brown said that cruise tourism plays a significant role in the region's economy and international reputation, bringing visitors, spending, and jobs to Auckland.
