AUD/IDR Exchange Rate Plunges 3.66% Amid Weaker US Retail Sales
The Australian Dollar (AUD) versus Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) exchange rate declined by 3.66% on the day, trading at Rp12,203.
This decline was due to weaker US July Retail Sales data, which softened the US Dollar and increased demand for IDR.
Although the Reserve Bank of Australia maintained a hawkish policy stance, supporting the AUD on some crosses, the IDR outperformed in today's session.
The technical analysis suggests that the pair is below its short- and medium-term moving averages but remains above the long-term level.
A bullish breakout would require a clear move above Rp12,568 resistance, while breaching support could trigger additional losses.
