AUD/IDR Sinks as IDR Strengthens Amid Consumer Confidence and Weak US Dollar
The Australian Dollar (AUD) has been struggling against the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), trading at Rp12,632 and showing a slight move lower for the day. This comes as the IDR is gaining strength due to an increase in consumer confidence and rising domestic appeal to investors.
Weaker US Dollar conditions have also provided additional support to the Rupiah, strengthening its position against currencies like the Australian Dollar.
From a technical perspective, AUD/IDR trades below key short- and medium-term moving averages with broad sell signals. According to analysts, this suggests that there is a 74% probability of further downside movement and a 26% chance of an upside reversal.
The trading range for AUD/IDR is expected to remain between Rp12,569 and Rp12,696 over the next 1-2 days, reflecting the current low-volatility environment.
