AUD Remains Top Choice Among Majors on Hawkish RBA Stance
The Australian Dollar (AUD) remains one of the most attractive G10 currencies due to favorable carry and a hawkish Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA).
Elias Haddad from Brown Brothers Harriman notes that AUD's interest rate carry makes it an appealing choice for investors.
The RBA is expected to keep its policy rate at 4.35% for the second straight meeting and reiterate its readiness to hike if needed, with futures pricing about a 50% chance of one more 25 bps increase by year-end.
This hawkish stance underpins AUD's carry, making it a top choice among majors, alongside Norway (NOK).
