AUD Soars on Unconfirmed Iran Peace Deal

The Australian Dollar (AUD) surged past 0.7000 against the US Dollar on Thursday, driven by unconfirmed reports of an Iran peace deal.

The sudden shift in sentiment came after President Trump announced that he had cancelled planned strikes on Iran and claimed a deal to end the war was essentially agreed upon.

However, this announcement was not matched by confirmation from Iran, leaving many questioning the reliability of the news.

The AUD/USD pair jumped about three-quarters of a cent from its lows, but traders are advised to remain cautious due to the high risk environment and potential for sentiment to reverse quickly.
