AUD soars to fresh cycle highs on weaker USD and stronger gold
The Australian dollar has accelerated its climb to fresh highs near 0.7180 after jumping 0.85% last week.
This rapid growth is not driven by a hawkish RBA story or stretched positioning, but rather by a weaker USD backdrop, rising gold prices, and strength across Asian currencies.
Australia's mining dividend season has also contributed to the AUD's rise.
