AUD Surges as Waller's Dovish Comments Sink USD
The Australian Dollar rose against the US Dollar on Thursday as Fed Governor Waller made relatively dovish comments ahead of the September meeting.
This led to a sell-off in the Greenback, which was also influenced by a rate check from Tokyo that sent USD/JPY tumbling and dragged the DXY down with it.
The US Dollar Index (DXY) declined 0.58% to 99.00 as a result of these factors.
