The Australian Dollar (AUD) has seen significant fluctuations against the Japanese Yen (JPY), with prices touching their lowest level since late March around the 109.40-109.35 region at the start of a new week.

The AUD/JPY cross was trading in negative territory, down by 0.05% for the day and 2.82% for the week. The Japanese Yen has strengthened against the Australian Dollar amid fears of currency intervention from Japanese authorities.

This move is a continuation of the trend seen in previous weeks, with the AUD/JPY cross trading in positive territory around 114.35 during the early European session on Tuesday, but then turning negative due to mixed signals from US President Donald Trump regarding the Middle East ceasefire.
