AUD/USD Bobs Up Amid Iron Ore Price Crash
The AUD/USD exchange rate remained relatively stable on Tuesday morning despite weakness in iron ore prices. The pair traded at 0.7018, a 2.2% recovery from its July low.
Australian iron ore futures dropped to $92.85, their lowest level in 13 months. This decline is attributed to weaker Chinese demand and narrower margins at steel mills.
The market is also concerned about the lack of any significant stimulus measures by Chinese authorities, which is exacerbating the situation.
