AUDM Listed on LMAX, Connecting Institutional Liquidity
Australia's first Australian-dollar stablecoin, AUDM, has been listed on LMAX Group. This move allows institutional participants across more than 100 countries to access a regulated Australian dollar stablecoin directly.
The listing connects traditional FX and digital asset liquidity with tokenized on-chain execution through AUDM. For Macropod, the issuer of AUDM, this integration marks a significant expansion beyond retail and exchange access into institutional liquidity.
AUDM has already settled two use cases from Project Acacia by the Reserve Bank of Australia and powers live retail payments in production. Drew Bradford, CEO of Macropod, notes that getting AUDM in front of institutions is 'a significant moment' for his company.
LMAX Managing Director Chris Knight adds that the listing strengthens LMAX's role in connecting traditional finance with the digital asset ecosystem.
