Aussie and Kiwi Hold Near Multi-Month Highs Amid Greenback Debt Woes
The Australian dollar and New Zealand dollar have held near multi-month highs on Monday. The greenback's debt woes have contributed to this rise, but both currencies are approaching key chart levels that could test their rally.
The Aussie has been steady at $0.7165 after rallying 0.8% on Friday to end last week 1.2% higher. This marks the eighth consecutive week of gain for the Aussie, its longest run since 2020. However, resistance looms large at $0.7278.
The kiwi has been little changed at $0.5975 after rising 0.6% on Friday to finish the week 1.5% higher. The next barrier for the kiwi is a double top at $0.5993.
