Aussie Falls After Six Weeks of Gains Ahead of RBA Policy Meeting
The Australian dollar began the week slightly lower after six weeks of gains, as traders await the Reserve Bank of Australia's (RBA) policy meeting on Tuesday.
Despite gaining 0.6% last Friday to a seven-week high of $0.7078, the Aussie lost 0.1% to $0.7063 this week.
This comes after finishing last week 0.7% higher, bringing gains for the second half of the year thus far to a solid 2.5%.
The kiwi also eased 0.2% to $0.5883, having risen 0.4% on Friday to as far as $0.5906.
