Australian Inflation Eases Further in July, Supporting RBA's Stance
Australia's July Consumer Price Index (CPI) is expected to show a continued easing of inflation, according to market forecasts and economist projections.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics will release the data on August 28, 2026, and the consensus points to a year-on-year increase of around 3.4%, down from 3.8% in June.
This moderation is driven largely by softer housing and energy costs, which reinforces the Reserve Bank of Australia's cautious approach to interest rates.
