Australian Job Ads Rise 0.8% in July Amid Higher Borrowing Costs
Australia's labour market remained resilient despite higher borrowing costs as job advertisements rose 0.8% in July, according to data from Australia and New Zealand Banking Group and employment website Indeed.
The increase was broad-based, with management and physician & surgeon opportunities leading the way, alongside nursing roles which have been among the fastest-growing over the past year.
This comes after jobs data released last month showed the economy created 76,300 net jobs in June, while the unemployment rate held steady at 4.4%.
