Australian Manufacturing Sector Steady in August
Australia's manufacturing sector showed little change in August, according to the S&P Global Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) data. The preliminary reading came in at 52.0, unchanged from the previous month.
The Services PMI declined to 52.9 in August, down from 53.6 in July, while the Composite PMI fell to 52.5, compared to 53.2 prior.
The Australian Dollar (AUD) showed little reaction to the data, with the AUD/USD pair holding steady near 0.7115.
