Bank of Canada Holds Interest Rate Steady Amid Trade Tensions
The Bank of Canada has decided to maintain its key interest rate at 2.25% amidst the ongoing trade tensions between Canada and the United States.
According to Sr. Business Analyst Mike Eppel, this decision is likely due to the central bank's careful consideration of various economic factors.
The current interest rate has been in place since April, when it was raised from 1.75% by 50 basis points.
