Bank of Canada Unveils 2027 Schedule for Interest Rate Announcements
The Bank of Canada has published its schedule for policy interest rate announcements and other major publications in 2027. The central bank will release its scheduled dates for the remainder of this year as well.
For next year, the interest rate announcements are set to take place on Wednesday, January 27; Wednesday, March 3; Wednesday, April 28; Wednesday, June 2; Wednesday, July 21; Wednesday, September 8; Wednesday, October 27; and Wednesday, December 8. All of these will occur at 09:45 (ET), and the Monetary Policy Report will be published concurrently with the January, April, July, and October rate announcements.
The Bank has also confirmed its interest rate announcement dates for September 2026 through December 2026. These are set to take place on Wednesday, September 2; Wednesday, October 28; and Wednesday, December 9 at 09:45 (ET).
In addition to the policy interest rate announcements, the Bank will also release its Business Outlook Survey and Canadian Survey of Consumer Expectations in 2027. The scheduled dates for these releases are Monday, January 18; Monday, April 19; Monday, July 12; and Monday, October 18. All survey releases will occur at 11:30 (ET).
The Financial Stability Report is set to be released on Tuesday, May 18, at 10:00 (ET).
