Bank of Canada Unveils New $20 Bill with King Charles III
The Bank of Canada has unveiled a new vertical $20 bill featuring King Charles III.
The note reflects the king's advocacy for sustainable action and commitment to the environment through various botanical elements, such as floral emblems from each of the 13 provinces and territories.
The design also references Canada's natural heritage and 'Canadian ingenuity', with quotes from artists celebrating bilingualism and social advancements.
Governor General Louise Arbour praised the creation process, stating that it involved a collaborative effort by various teams and organizations, including the Indigenous Advisory Circle, Veterans Affairs Canada, and the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
