Bank of England Holds Rates Amid Ongoing Geopolitical Tensions
The Bank of England has maintained its key interest rate at 3.75 per cent for now, as inflation in the UK slowed more than expected in June.
The decision to hold rates was met with a divided vote from the Monetary Policy Committee, with six members voting in favour and three against.
Despite inflation easing, policymakers remain concerned that rising oil prices linked to geopolitical tensions could push prices higher again in the coming months.
