Bank of England Reviews Banks' Asian Equity Exposure
The Bank of England's Prudential Regulation Authority has begun reviewing lenders' prime brokerage activities in London to assess their exposure to Asian equities.
The review aims to determine whether banks have built up overly concentrated positions in Asian stocks through their prime brokerage businesses, according to the Financial Times.
The FT reported that people familiar with the matter said the Bank of England is examining the exposure of lenders to Asian equities.
