Belarus Rubel Falls Against Major Currencies at BCSE
The Belarusian rubel has depreciated against several major currencies at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE). As of July 28, it stood at 2.8876 against the US dollar, a loss of 0.13 percent in the first half of 2026.
Last week saw a different trend, with the rubel strengthening by 0.46 percent against the dollar, according to data from the BCSE. However, this week's depreciation was more pronounced against the euro and yuan, at 3.2776 and 4.2744 respectively.
The rubel did experience a slight gain against the Russian ruble, rising to 3.6852 per 100 Russian rubles. This fluctuation in exchange rates is of interest to investors and traders monitoring the Belarusian economy.
